Pupils experience the world of renewable energies at Windkraft Simonsfeld
Since the beginning of the year, Windkraft Simonsfeld has welcomed a total of eight schools to Ernstbrunn. The pupils showed great interest in learning how wind turbines work and found out more about Windkraft Simonsfeld's contribution to a sustainable future.
From primary and secondary schools to vocational colleges, several classes have visited the company's headquarters as well as the wind farms themselves. The tower base tour with the wind power technicians is a particular highlight of every tour.
Early enthusiasm for the energy transition
"Inspiring young people and showing them how we can actively support climate protection with wind power is very important to us and always a pleasure," says Birgitt Kleinschek, Head of Communications. "The visit from over 270 schoolchildren showed that the next generation is full of energy and enthusiasm for the energy transition."
The primary school children in particular were fascinated by the wind turbines. Numerous questions and eager participation showed that the youngest visitors in particular are exploring the world of renewable energies with an open mind and great interest.
Sustainable education as an important element
At Windkraft Simonsfeld, we see it as our responsibility to inform young people about the importance of sustainability and renewable energies and to offer them the opportunity to actively participate in change.
