Wilfersdorf wind farm: concrete towers completed
In Wilfersdorf (Lower Austria), Windkraft Simonsfeld is currently erecting three turbines of the 5 and 7 MW class from the German manufacturer Nordex, which will supply clean electricity for more than 10,400 households every year from the fall.

The concrete towers were recently completed. Next, the steel towers of the hybrid turbines will be installed. This will be followed by the assembly of the large components such as rotor blades, nacelle and rotor hub. The three new turbines will go into operation in the fall.
Manufacturer Nordex visits construction site in Wilfersdorf
During a tour of the construction site, Nordex and Windkraft Simonsfeld had a lively exchange on the potential of wind power in Austria, the further technical development of the turbines and further joint projects. In Nordex, Windkraft Simonsfeld has found a competent partner at eye level right from the start. Sustainability is also at the core of Nordex's business model, which makes the German manufacturer the ideal partner for us when it comes to issues such as short and climate-friendly transportation routes or an extended service life for the turbines.
Further joint projects planned
There are already plans for the next collaborations: The six planned Nordex turbines in Sigmundsherberg have already been approved in the first instance, and our wind farm in Wullersdorf (5 turbines planned) is in the process of being approved.
