Wind festivals

We hold wind festivals to give anyone interested in learning more a look behind the scenes into the work we do on a daily basis to generate energy with wind power and encourage people to rethink energy issues. Everyone is welcome!

Each time we open a new wind farm, we organise a big festival to let local people and our neighbours take a look around with tours led by employees from all departments along with informative presentations.

Celebrating with

great energy

There is an open invitation to come and celebrate with us when we open a new wind farm! Take the opportunity to get a glimpse at the new turbines up close. Everyone interested in learning more about wind power is welcome! Check our newsletter for information on upcoming events.

Vienna Forum on
Climate Action

For the past 5 years, Windkraft Simonsfeld has teamed up with Global 2000 to host the Vienna Forum on Climate Action, with hundreds of visitors to date. At the forum, experts join representatives from the worlds of academia, politics and business to discuss how we can successfully tackle climate change and the energy revolution.

The main focus of the 2023 forum – how can we move away from fossil fuels? In light of rapid global warming, turbulent energy prices and high-risk energy imports from crisis regions, turning to new sources of energy has never been so urgent. In other words, it’s something that can, and must, happen.

Climate vision

We have supported various campaigns launched by the environmental organisation Global 2000 for many years, including sharing knowledge on climate change issues in Austrian schools and among the wider public.

Global 2000’s Multivision initiative educates students and young people on the climate crisis with the aim of inspiring them to actively shape the energy revolution. Roughly 130,000 students have participated in around 200 events held throughout Austria to date. We support this project and have also been presented as an exemplary company in the field.

Help the climate

Climate vision 2040

With the Multivision educational project, Global 2000 aims to demonstrate the ideas for change produced by, and on behalf of, the youth of Austria, get them involved in building the future and make sure they are aware of their important role in shaping the future.
